Keep that records book open a little while longer.

Just one week after setting two long-course world freestyle records in his age group, Hiram swimming and diving coach Jack Groselle added a short-course record in the 100-meter freestyle during last Sunday’s Medina (Ohio) Sprint Classic swim meet.

He also was part of a mixed-age-group relay team that broke a Federation Internationale de Natation short-course mark in the 200-meter freestyle relay. Hiram assistant swimming and diving coach Laura Kessler also participated in the relay, which swam the distance in 1:48.74 seconds to break a seven-year-old mark held by a New England Masters team

Groselle now is the 55-59 age-group record-holder in both the short- and long-course 100-meter freestyle, in addition to holding the long-course mark in the 200-meter freestyle.

His short-course time of 54.50 seconds Sunday broke a three-year-old record held by Paul Trevisan.
