Charlie Coles

Miami (Ohio) head men’s basketball coach Charlie Coles announced his retirement after 16 seasons leading the RedHawks. Coles was a head coach for 22 seasons overall, the first six at Central Michigan.

Men’s basketball – Air Force removed the interim tag from Dave Pilipovich, making him head men’s basketball coach. Pilipovich took over as interim head coach on February 8 … Brown will not renew the contract of head men’s basketball coach Jesse Agel. Agel has led the Bears for the past four seasons and was an assistant two years prior to taking over … Saint Augustine’s relieved Ken Spencer of his duties as the institution’s head men’s basketball coach … Winthrop let go of head men’s basketball coach Randy Peele. Peele spent five seasons as the Eagles’ head coach.

Women’s basketball – Mike Bozeman will not be retained as George Washington’s head women’s basketball coach. Bozeman spent four seasons at the helm of the Colonials.

Football assistants – Nebraska-Kearney named Andy Siegal offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. Siegal replaces Russ Martin, who left in January to become head coach at Colorado Mesa.

Men’s and women’s volleyball – Norwich hired Ashlynn Nuckols as its head women’s volleyball coach. Nuckols was most recently an assistant at Clarkson and has also coached at Shenandoah and Tennessee.

Deaths

Former Missouri football player Norris Stevenson passed away. Stevenson played for the Tigers from 1958-1960 and was inducted into the Missouri Athletics Hall of Fame in 2001.
