Lindsay Allman was named an assistant women’s volleyball coach at Bradley. She spent the last three years at Southern Mississippi, two as a graduate assistant and one as a full-time assistant, and helped the Golden Eagles to the 2009 Conference USA regular-season championship and a 63-32 overall record. Prior to beginning her career in coaching, Allman was a standout player at Maine.

Other transactions

Athletics directors – Rowan promoted Dan Gilmore to director of athletics. He served as the associate AD for the past seven years and replaces outgoing AD Joy Solomen.

Assistant athletics directors Arnold Jeter, the coordinator of athletic academic advisement and retention and the CHAMPS/life skills coordinator at New Jersey City, announced his retirement effective July 1. He was the head football coach at the university from 2001 to 2002.

Coaches

Baseball – Charleston (West Virginia) removed the interim tag from head coach Lee Bradley. He took over the program after the death of Tom Nozica in the fall of 2011 and guided the Golden Eagle program to the second best season in school history … Ursinus hired Stan Exeter as head coach. He will replace Brian Thomas.

Men’s basketball – Former Metro State head men’s basketball coach Mike Dunlap was named the head coach of the NBA’s Charlotte Bobcats. Dunlap spent nine years as head coach of the Roadrunners and has previous NBA coaching experience as an assistant with the Denver Nuggets … Arizona head coach Sean Miller received a contract extension through the 2017 season. Miller led the Wildcats to a regular-season Pac-10 championship and an Elite Eight appearance in the NCAA Tournament in 2011.

Women’s basketball assistants – Northwestern State hired Brittany Godsey as assistant coach in charge of recruiting and post players. Godsey spent the last two seasons at Montevallo, serving as assistant coach and interim head coach. Before that, she worked at Belhaven University, Southern Mississippi and North Alabama.

Men’s and women’s lacrosse Jason Archbell was named the head men’s lacrosse coach at Bowdoin. He is taking over for Tom McCabe, who retired after the 2012 season following a 22-year career at the helm of the program.

Men’s and women’s lacrosse assistants – Florida Southernhired Rob Williams as an assistant men’s lacrosse coach. For the past five years he was an assistant at his alma mater, Binghamton University.

Men’s and women’s soccer Kurt Bienias was named the head coach at Barton. He will also serve as a faculty member in the department of physical education and sports studies.

Softball Kristie Fox was named the head coach at Texas-Arlington after spending the last three seasons as an assistant at Texas Tech. She was an All-American and two-time national champion during her playing days at Arizona.

Men’s and women’s tennis – Bradley hired Chris Williams as head women’s tennis coach. He boasts six years of collegiate coaching experience having spent the last two as an assistant men’s coach at Air Force.

Men’s and women’s volleyball assistants – Stonehill named Kathleen Colpoys as an assistant women’s coach. Colpoys joins Stonehill after a four-year career at College of the Holy Cross, where she became the first student-athlete in program history to record more than 700 kills and 200 blocks

Conferences

The New England Small College Athletic Conference appointed Michael S. Raposo as assistant director for conference operations. Raposo is a sports information director at Mount Holyoke and will replace Daniel Fisher, who became the commissioner at the Landmark Conference … Conference USA promoted former interns Jeremiah Ingram and Toni Gockel to full-time staff members. Ingram, an intern in public affairs and media relations, will now serve as the assistant director of media relations. Gockel is the new assistant director of marketing and will continue to serve as the liaison to the marketing directors at all Conference USA member institutions.
