Bill Sheridan

Ohio State rounded out its football staff by adding Bill Sheridan as a defensive assistant coach. Sheridan is a 31-year coaching veteran, the last seven of which were spent in the NFL. His college coaching stops include Maine, Cincinnati, Army, Michigan State, Notre Dame and Michigan.

Men’s basketball – Iona signed head men’s basketball coach Tim Cluess to a multi-year contract extension through the 2017 season. Cluess is in his second season leading the Gaels.

Football assistants – Penn State appointed Jim Bernhardt as special assistant to the head coach and director of player development while naming Craig Fitzgerald director of strength and conditioning for football.
