Julie Darty

South Carolina hired Julie Darty as an assistant women’s volleyball coach. Darty was an assistant at Villanova the past two seasons, primarily working with the team’s outside hitters. A former Mercer standout, Darty began her coaching career at the high school level.

Other transactions

Athletics directors – Northern Arizona Athletics Director Jim Fallis announced that he will not seek an extension of his contract, which ends June 30. Fallis spent eight years with the institution.

Assistant athletics directors – North Central named Susan DeNigris Kane its new assistant director of athletics. Kane currently serves as the university’s associate director of admission.

Coaches

Football assistants – Penn State added Dwight Galt IV, Sean Hayes and Steven Williams Jr. as assistant strength and conditioning coaches for football … Wisconsin-Whitewater selected H.T. Kinney as its quarterbacks coach and recruiting coordinator. Kinney comes from Liberty, where he was the fullbacks and tight ends coach while serving as the run game coordinator.

Men’s and women’s soccer assistants – Shenandoah chose Stephanie Hylton as an assistant women’s soccer coach. Hylton completed her playing career at Virginia Tech in 2010.

Men’s and women’s volleyball assistants – Bradley named Jimmy Munoz assistant women’s volleyball coach. Munoz has nine years coaching at the prep and junior college levels, as well as 11 years at the club level.

Conferences

The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference appointed Randy Press as assistant commissioner/director of strategic communications. Press spent the last seven years at Connecticut as an assistant director for athletics communications.
