Niki Alvarez

Lynn chose Niki Alvarez as its first women’s swimming and women’s cross country coach. Alvarez was an assistant men’s and women’s swimming coach at Florida Atlantic for eight previous seasons and has 12 years of coaching experience overall. Both programs will begin competition in 2012-13.

Other transactions

Associate athletics directors – South Carolina named Chris Rogers associate athletics director for compliance. Rogers comes from Ohio State, where he was assistant athletics director for compliance since 2007.

Coaches

Football assistants – Auburn cornerbacks coach Phillip Lolley will move into an administrative role within the football program. Lolley has been on the Tigers’ staff in various roles since 1999 … Misericordia named Mike Hatcher offensive coordinator. Hatcher, formerly the offensive line coach at Ithaca, will also coach the quarterbacks while serving as assistant coordinator of athletics operations … South Alabama rounded out its coaching staff with the addition of Jerry Mack as wide receivers coach. Mack held the same role at Memphis last season … Texas State hired Jeff Conway as its co-offensive coordinator, running backs coach and tight ends coach. Conway was most recently assistant head coach and wide receivers coach at Sam Houston State … Third-year tight ends coach Brent Myers is now UNLV’s offensive coordinator, while third-year secondary coach J.D. Williams takes over as defensive coordinator.
