Statement on Dennis Thomas, NCAA Division I Committee on Infractions chair

Dennis Thomas, the commissioner of Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, will step down as the chair of the NCAA Division I Committee on Infractions due to unforeseen personal reasons. If possible, Thomas will remain on the committee until the end of his current three-year term, which ends in August 2012. Britton Banowsky, the commissioner of Conference USA and former vice-chair of the Committee on Infractions, will serve as the interim chair.
