Molly Myers

The Northeast-10 Conference promoted Molly Myers and Amy Resnick to associate commissioners. Myers, who is currently in her fourth year with the conference, coordinates the compliance program and other internal functions. Resnick is in her seventh year with the conference, five of which as the designated Senior Woman Administrator, and oversees the league’s 23 sports.

Other transactions

Athletics directors – Saint Peter’s appointed Joseph Quinlan interim director of athletics. Quinlan has previously been an athletics director at Seton Hall. The position was vacated by Pat Elliott, who resigned to take the same role at Binghamton.

Assistant athletics directors – Wheaton (Massachusetts) promoted Rebecca Begley to assistant director of athletics. Begley was previously the department’s head field hockey coach and Senior Woman Administrator.

Coaches

Men’s and women’s cross country and track and field – Minnesota hired Matt Bingle as director of women’s track and field and cross country. Bingle is in his tenth season overall at Minnesota.

Men’s and women’s fencing – Caltech promoted Carla Corbit to head men’s and women’s fencing coach. Corbit had been an assistant at Caltech for the past three years.

Football – Tennessee Tech extended the contract of head football coach Watson Brown through the 2016 season. Brown is in his fifth season at the helm of the Golden Eagles.

Men’s and women’s golf – Benedict named Craig Bowen head men’s and women’s golf coach.

Softball – Fairleigh Dickinson added Lauren Motzkin to its softball coaching staff as an assistant.

Deaths

Former Delaware running back John Key was struck by a car and killed on Sunday, October 16 in New Jersey. Key, 37, played from 1993-96 and was currently serving as an assistant high school football coach in New Jersey.
