Shenandoah named Becca Watkins assistant women’s lacrosse coach. Watkins has previous coaching experience at the high school level and played collegiately at Elizabethtown. She takes the position that was vacated by Dennis Cox, who was hired as the head coach at Methodist.

Men’s lacrosse – Southern Maine chose Sam Lane to lead its men’s lacrosse program as head coach. Lane succeeds Malcolm Chase, who resigned from the position earlier this month after five seasons at the helm to pursue other professional opportunities.

Staff

Sports medicine – Saint Mary’s (Indiana) hired Jason Kolean as director of sports medicine. Kolean recently completed his master’s degree at Western Michigan.

The NCAA is soliciting nominations for a January 2012 vacancy on the Division I Initial Eligibility Waivers Committee. The appointee must have experience/expertise in education-impacting disabilities. There are no subdivisional restrictions. The deadline for submitting nomination materials is October 28, 2011. Nominations must be submitted online (Access code: conferenceonly1, Password: 1906).
