Applications are being accepted for the 2012-13 NCAA Ethnic Minority and Women’s Enhancement Scholarship.

Developed to increase opportunities for qualified minority and female candidates, the NCAA annually awards 13 scholarships to ethnic minorities and 13 scholarships to female college graduates who will be entering their initial year of postgraduate studies. The winners will receive a one-time, non-renewable scholarship for $6,000.

To qualify, the applicant must be seeking admission or have been accepted into a sports administration or similar academic program. The applicant’s academic interests should prepare him or her for a career in intercollegiate athletics, providing a service to the NCAA membership.

All application materials must be received by Dec. 1, 2011.  The scholarship will be for use during the 2012-2013 academic year.
