Hilbert College joins NEAC as an associate member in men’s lacrosse

Hilbert College is joining the North Eastern Athletic Conference as an associate member in men’s lacrosse.

Hilbert, located in Hamburg, N.Y., is an active member of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference for all other programs. 

As an associate member of the NEAC, Hilbert will be immediately eligible for regular-season conference awards and postseason championship opportunities in men’s lacrosse. 

With the addition of Hilbert, the NEAC will have nine men’s lacrosse programs (seven NCAA active and two NCAA provisional members), which will allow the conference to begin the two-year waiting period to earn the NCAA automatic qualifier in men’s lacrosse.

In 2011-12, the NEAC will be composed of Cazenovia, St. Elizabeth, Gallaudet, Keuka, Penn State-Abington, Penn State-Berks, Penn State-Harrisburg, Cobleskill State, SUNY Institute of Technology, Morrisville State, Wells and Wilson. 

Associate members includeHilbert in men’s lacrosse, Medaille in men’s and women’s lacrosse, and Rutgers-Camden in men’s golf.
