CBS Sports to air NCAA spring championships show June 19

For the ninth consecutive year, all 88 NCAA championships will receive television exposure, including 18 spring championships being featured in a one-hour special.

CBS Sports Presents Championships of the NCAA will air at 4:00 p.m. Eastern, Sunday, June 19, on CBS Sports. The show will feature dozens of NCAA student-athletes as they follow their dreams in rowing, lacrosse, water polo, tennis, outdoor track and field and baseball. For the 2010-11 academic year, CBS Sports featured 50 of the NCAA’s 88 championships in its three seasonal shows.

As individuals and teams pursue their ultimate goal to become an NCAA champion, some of the feature stories include:

CBS Sports’ Tracy Wolfson will host this edition of CBS Sports Presents Championships of the NCAA. The spring highlight program was produced by Deb Boulac, with Alanna Campbell, Todd Keryc, Julie Landa, Steve Murphy and Bill Thayer serving as the feature producers.

CBS Sports has aired 26 seasonal shows from the three NCAA championship seasons (fall, winter, spring) over the last nine years. The June 19th show is the 27th edition of CBS Sports Presents Championships of the NCAA. Each seasonal show features highlights and unique NCAA student-athlete stories from a variety of NCAA Division I, II and III championships.
