Former Wayne State (Michigan) sports statistician Morris Moorawnick died recently at the age of 83.  While he was a student at Wayne State in the 1950s, Moorawnick served as a statistician and sports information director for the men's basketball program. He went on to keep statistics for the Detroit Pistons and the Detroit Red Wings.

Men's basketball assistants – Mount Union hired Sam King and Jeremy Basham as assistant coaches. King was a recent basketball student-athlete with the program and finished his playing career last season. Basham spent the last year as an assistant coach at the junior college level … Florida Southern hired Tom Church as an assistant coach. Church was an assistant coach with the men's basketball program at Saint Joseph's (Indiana) the past three seasons.

Sports information – Ross Bagienski was selected as an assistant director of athletics media relations at Tarleton State. Bagienski previously work in minor league baseball.
