    William "Billy" Joe announced his resignation as head football coach at Miles, effective immediately, due to health concerns. Joe has led the Golden Bears since 2008 and has over 30 years of head coaching experience. Assistant coach Patrick Peasant was appointed interim head coach of the program.

    Coaches

    Men's and women's lacrosse – Katie Rowan was hired as head coach of the women's lacrosse program at Albany. Rowan was a volunteer assistant with the women's lacrosse team at Syracuse and prior to that was a student-athlete with the program.

    Men's and women's soccer – Hood College elevated Emily Clowser to interim head coach of the women's soccer program. Clowser spent the past three seasons as an assistant coach with the program.

    Facilities

    Stony Brook received a $4.3 million gift from investor and philanthropist Glenn Dubin, a 1978 graduate, to complete the school's new state-of-the-art strength and conditioning facility. Director of Athletics Jim Fiore said Dubin's gift is the largest private donation ever to an athletics department within the State University of New York (SUNY) system. Pending formal approval, the new 8,000 square-foot facility will be named the Dubin Family Athletic Performance Center. It is expected to be completed in fall 2011.
