Trinity (Connecticut) hired Michael Higgins as head coach of the men's lacrosse program. Higgins was most recently a head coach at the youth level. He was previously an assistant coach with the men's lacrosse program at Tufts for five seasons.

Committee vacancies

The NCAA is soliciting nominations for the athletics direct report positions on the Management Council (pending approval at the 2011 NCAA Convention). At the Convention, the membership will vote on a proposal to expand the Division III Management Council to 21 members by adding two positions to the Council for athletics direct reports. An athletics direct report will be defined as the institutional staff member (other than the athletics director) designated by the institution's president of chancellor for responsibility and oversight of the intercollegiate athletics program. The deadline for submitting nomination materials is November 24. Nominations must be submitted online at: https://web1.ncaa.org/committees/selection.jsp (Division III access code: committee3; Division III password: 2006).
