North Carolina-Wilmington selected Jimmy Bass as the director of athletics. Bass spent the last three years as the senior associate athletics director for external operations at East Carolina. He assumes the position vacated by Kelly Mehrtens, who resigned in September.

Coaches

Men's and women's lacrosse – Paula Habel resigned as head coach of the women's lacrosse program at Allegheny to accept the same position at Emerson. Habel guided the Gators for the past three seasons.

Deaths

Former Notre Dame men's tennis coach Tom Fallon died at the age of 93. Fallon led the program for 31 years before he stepped down in 1987. Fallon also coached the wrestling program during its first 15 seasons.
