Delaware head women's volleyball coach Bonnie Kenny became the 28th active NCAA Division I to reach the 500 career win plateau as her team defeated Virginia Commonwealth, 3-0, on October 8. Delaware's win puts her overall career coaching record to 500-361 in her 26-year career. Kenny started in 1984 at South Carolina before moving on to Massachusetts in 1993. She has been a Blue Hen since 2002.

Coaches
Baseball assistants – Kevin Gately and Keith Beauregard were named assistant coaches at Massachusetts-Lowell. Gately was previously an assistant coach at Holy Cross. Beauregard was a baseball student-athlete at Saint Anselm from 2002 to 2005.
Men's and women's gymnastics – Frank Kudlac announced his retirement as head coach of the gymnastics program at Texas Woman's University, effective at the end of the season. Kudlac enters his 33rd season as the only head coach in the program's history.
Men's and women's swimming and diving – Augsburg hired Kasi Clauson Lange as head coach of the women's swimming and diving program. Clauson Lange returns to her alma mater following the resignation of first-year head coach Colleen Morgan.
Deaths
Former St. Michael's lacrosse student-athlete Haven Quinn died October 27 at the age of 26. Quinn was a member of the Purple Knights' program from 2004 to 2007.
