Bob Heller was hired as the associate athletics director for development at Central Michigan. Heller was most recently the senior associate athletics director at Kent State. He spent 11 years at Kent State, first as an assistant athletics director for compliance in 1999 before being promoted to associate athletics director in 2000. For the past five years, Heller has overseen strategic planning of the athletics department's compliance, finance, facilities, marketing, personnel, diversity, equity and fundraising initiatives.

Men's and women's gymnastics assistants – Illinois named Jay Santos visiting assistant coach of the women's gymnastics program. Santos was previously an assistant coach with the Iowa State women's gymnastics program for four seasons.
