    Wisconsin-La Crosse head football coach Larry Terry announced his retirement, effective January 13, 2011. Terry was a football student-athlete at Wisconsin-La Crosse in the 1970s and returned to the program as an offensive coordinator in 1988. He was promoted to head coach in 2000.

    Coaches

    Baseball – Mike Leonard was hired as head coach at Bates. Leonard served as head coach of the baseball program at Elms last season and is a former minor league player and Connecticut baseball student-athlete.

    Softball – Illinois extended the contract of head coach Terri Sullivan for an additional five seasons. Sullivan has led the program since its inception in 2000.

    Men's and women's volleyball – Georgia dismissed Joel McCartney, head coach of the women's volleyball program, effective immediately. McCartney was in his fourth season as head coach of the program. Assistant coach Chad Hanson was elevated to interim head coach.
