    Penny Kempf, head coach of the field hockey program at Rowan, earned her 200th career victory on October 30. Kempf's win-loss record of 200-54 through 13 seasons places her 18th in total wins among active coaches in Division III. She also ranks fifth in winning percentage in Division III and seventh among active coaches in all divisions. 

    Other transactions

    Presidents and chancellors – Bobby Fong, president of Butler for the past nine years, announced he is leaving at the end of the academic year to assume the presidency at Ursinus.

    Coaches

    Men's basketball assistants – Patrick Baldwin was promoted to associate head coach at Loyola (Illinois). Baldwin is entering his seventh season as a member of the coaching staff.

    Softball – Wright State hired Lynn Curylo as head coach. Curylo was most recently an assistant coach with the Illinois softball program for two seasons.

    Committee vacancies

    The NCAA is soliciting nominations for an immediate vacancy on the Division II Men's and Women's Tennis Committee. The appointee will replace Greg Prudhomme, Grand Canyon State University, who resigned from the committee. The appointee must be from the West region and may be a coach or an administrator. Eligible institutions: Brigham Young University, Hawaii; California State University, Los Angeles; California State University, Stanislaus; University of California, San Diego; Chaminade University; Dixie State College of Utah; Grand Canyon State University; University of Hawaii at Hilo; Hawaii Pacific University; Notre Dame de Namur University; Sonoma State University. The deadline for submitting nomination materials is November 24, 2010.  Nominations must be submitted online (Division II access code: membership2; Division II password: service).
