    Mark Dennehy, head coach of the men's ice hockey program at Merrimack, agreed to a contract extension through 2016. Dennehy is in his sixth season leading the program.

    Other transactions

    Coaches

    Women's basketball – Kentucky awarded head coach Matthew Mitchell with a new five-year contract. Mitchell is in his fourth season with the program.  

    Field hockey – Liberty hired Jodi Murphy as head coach of the new field hockey program. Murphy served as an assistant field hockey coach at her alma mater, Richmond, the past three seasons.

    Football – Louisiana-Monroe extended the contract of head coach Todd Berry through the 2014 season. Berry was named head coach of the program last December.

    Softball – Wheelock named Julie Fox head coach, following her four seasons as head coach of the softball program at nearby MIT.
