Miles Avery resigned as head coach of the men's gymnastics program at Ohio State. During Avery's 13 seasons at the helm, the Buckeyes captured one NCAA national championship and crowned three NCAA all-around champions and nine NCAA event champions. Assistant coaches Blaine Wilson and Doug Stibel will serve as co-interim head coaches for the remainder of the season. Other transactions Assistant directors of athletics – Montevallo hired Bernadette Bartlett as assistant athletics director/business manager. Bartlett previously worked at the Big East Conference. Coaches Men's and women's cross country and track and field – Mike Barbee joined the South Alabama staff as head coach of the men's and women's cross country programs. Barbee served as an assistant cross country and track and field coach at McNeese State last season. Football – Will Hall was promoted to head coach at West Alabama following the retirement of former head coach Bobby Wallace. Hall served as the program's offensive coordinator the past three seasons. Men's and women's lacrosse – Allegheny named Stephanie Janice as head coach of the women's lacrosse program. Janice previously served as an assistant coach for the women's lacrosse program at Goucher. Men's and women's soccer – Kelly Clark was promoted to head coach of the women's soccer program at Mount Union after three seasons as an assistant coach. Men's and women's tennis – Mark McGuigan was selected as head coach of the women's tennis program at Montevallo. Men's and women's volleyball – This portlet is temporarily disabled. | |
