North Dakota State Senior Associate Athletic Director for Development Erv Inniger announced he is retiring in January 2011 after 33 years of service with the Bison athletics department as a coach and administrator. Inniger is the winningest men's basketball coach in school history. He guided the Bison to a 244-150 record over 14 seasons.

Women's basketball – Montevallo named Mechan Vanderpool women's basketball coach.
Men's and women's golf – Arizona named Laura Ianello women's golf coach.
Men's and women's lacrosse – Skidmore women's lacrosse coach Abigail Burbank resigned.
Softball – Tennessee State released Joyce Maudie as softball coach.
