    Kenyon hired Dan Priest as its new head men's basketball coach. Priest, who was formerly head coach at Hendrix, replaces Matt Croci, who resigned after seven seasons with the Kenyon program. Before his six seasons at Hendrix, Priest spent five years as head coach at Ohio Dominican University, in Columbus, Ohio. He also spent seven years as an assistant at Hanover College. He was a three-year letter-winner at Ohio Northern and still holds the school's career three-point field-goal percentage record (.486).

    Men's basketball Minnesota State Moorhead chose former Iowa assistant Chad Walthall as head men's basketball coach.

    Men's basketball assistants – LSU selected Lynn Nance … Nebraska hired Wes Flanigan … Mercer hired former Gardner-Webb assistant Doug Esleeck … Rutgers named David Cox as associate head coach. Cox spent the past three seasons as an assistant coach at Georgetown and had previously been the director of basketball operations at Pittsburgh in 2006-07.

    Women's basketballKathi Bennett, a former head coach at Evansville, Indiana and Wisconsin-Oshkosh, has been named head women's basketball coach at Northern Illinois. Bennett most recently was an assistant coach at Wisconsin. She is the sister of Virginia head men's basketball coach Tony Bennett. Her father, Dick, won 316 games as a collegiate coach at Washington State, Wisconsin, Wisconsin-Green Bay and Wisconsin-Stevens Point.  

    Women's basketball assistants – Florida Gulf Coast alumna Kate Schrader has joined former assistant Bob Boldon on the Youngstown State women's basketball staff. She was a graduate assistant in 2008-09, and she and Boldon were both assistant coaches in 2009-10.

    FootballChris Robertson has been promoted from defensive coordinator to head football coach at WPI.  Robertson replaces Ed Zaloom, who is retiring June 30 after 11 years at the helm of the Engineers. Robertson recently returned to WPI after a four-year stint as head coach at Salve Regina. Before joining the Seahawks, he served as defensive coordinator at WPI from 1999-2005. Zaloom has spent the past 35 years coaching football, serving as head coach at WPI the past 11 years and before that a three-year stint as head coach at Siena.

    Football assistantsStephen Flynn was named defensive coordinator at Newberry.

    Softball – Hope hired Mary Vande Hoef as softball coach. Vande Hoef succeeds Karla Wolters, who retired from the faculty and as softball coach at the end of this past season. Vande Hoef will also oversee the college's intramurals program and serve as assistant director of the Dow Center. Vande Hoef played softball at Central (Iowa) and has been an assistant softball coach the past five years, first at Ithaca and most recently her alma mater, where she also served as assistant alumni director.

    Men's and women's volleyball Muhlenberg hired Gettysburg head coach Alexa Keckler as its new head women's volleyball coach. She replaces Jenny Warmack-Chipman, who left in March after 10 years to become head coach at St. Mary's (Texas).

    MarketingTina Kelly, formerly the director of marketing and fan experiences at South Florida, joined the Georgia State athletics staff as assistant director of athletics for marketing.

    Sports information – Christopher Newport Sports Information Director Wayne Block is retiring after 27 years at the school.
