Patrick Martin will join the North Carolina-Greensboro staff as an assistant athletics director. Martin spent the past 15 years at Florida State, most recently as assistant athletics director for ticket operations. He also worked at Virginia and Louisville after graduating from North Carolina and Ohio.

Men's basketball – Tom Penders resigned after six years at Houston. The Cougars were 121-77 at Houston. Penders is the eighth coach to take four different schools to the NCAA tournament (Houston, George Washington, Rhode Island and Texas).

Men's and women's soccer – Limestone hired Matt Smith for its women's program. He had been an assistant at Presbyterian since 2005. … Georgia's Patrick Baker resigned from the Bulldogs' women's program effective April 1. Baker cited personal, family and health concerns. He resigns with a 66-36-6 record as head coach. Assistant Robin Confer will serve as interim head coach.
