John Scott selected as head men's soccer coach at Hartwick, where he played during the mid-1990s. He has been an assistant for the past nine seasons at Binghamton, where he helped lead the Bearcats to two Division I Men's Soccer Championship appearances and six appearances in the America East Conference championship final. He also has been an assistant women's coach at Plattsburgh State.

Men's basketball – Oregon dismissed Ernie Kent as head coach. His teams compiled a 235-173 record through 13 seasons … Bobby Gonzalez dismissed at Seton Hall, where his teams were 66-59 through four seasons … Bill Treseler stepped down as head coach at San Francisco State. He departs after five seasons with the distinction of winning more games (48) through the past three seasons than any coach at the school since 1985.
Women's basketball – Sam Dixon resigned after eight seasons as head coach at Furman, where his teams were 102-136.
Football assistants – Walt Housman named defensive line coach and Jon Poppe appointed assistant secondary coach at Holy Cross.
Soccer – Pat Laughlin promoted from assistant to head men's coach at Brown, where he joined the staff last year. He previously was head coach for two years at Maine … Chris Perez appointed men's and women's head coach at Finlandia. He previously has led men's and women's programs at Clarke and Wisconsin-Superior.
Volleyball – Amber Butler named head women's coach at Felician. The former Adelphi volleyball student-athlete has been an assistant at Montclair State for the past two seasons.
