Davidson named Michele Savage head women's basketball coach. She spent the past nine years as an assistant at Tulane. A student-athlete at Northwestern, Savage began her coaching career at Chicago State. She also spent time on the staffs at Toledo and Cornell. She holds Northwestern's career field-goal percentage record.

Women's basketball assistants – Illinois hired Michael Peck. Peck was an assistant at Florida, Penn State and with the WNBA's Orlando Miracle … Northeastern selected Tom Blake to be associate head coach. Blake was an assistant with Quinnipiac for the past two seasons.
