    Michigan promoted Rob Rademacher to associate athletic director, effective July 1. Rademacher replaces Mike Stevenson, who will be retiring from his post on December 31, 2010, after a 40-year career at the university. Rademacher first came to Michigan in 1994 as an intern before eventually ascending to director of facilities in 2000 and assistant athletics director in 2004.

    Other transactions

    Faculty athletics representatives – Lauralee Guilbault, an associate professor of chemistry at Alverno, has been named the school's new faculty athletics representative. Guilbault succeeds Carole Barrowman, who had served as Alverno's FAR since the inception of the intercollegiate athletics program in 2000.

    Coaches

    Field hockey – Keene State added Allie Franklin, who recently completed her four-year playing career with the Owls, and Morgan Rein, a standout performer the past four years at rival Springfield, as assistant coaches.

    Men's and women's gymnastics – Steve Shephard announced his resignation as head coach of the Penn State women's gymnastics program.

    Men's and women's lacrosseJohn Tillman has been hired as Maryland's head men's lacrosse coach after three years as head men's coach at Harvard and 12 as the top assistant at Navy … Rory Deegan, who has served for the past two seasons as assistant men's lacrosse coach at Massachusetts Maritime, has been named head coach. Deegan takes over for Barry Joyce, who resigned from the position after five years. 

    Men's and women's volleyball – St. Joseph's (Maine) hired Yamile Nolan as the head coach of the women's volleyball program. Nolan succeeds John Razsa, who stepped down as the volleyball coach earlier this month

    Men's and women's water polo – Cal State Northridge promoted interim women's water polo coach Marcelo Leonardi to the permanent position.
