    Katie Smith has been named the director of compliance at Wisconsin, taking over for Steve Waterfield, who will oversee the compliance office in his current role as associate athletics director for student services. Smith, who has spent the last three years as senior associate compliance director, will oversee the day-to-day operations of the compliance office. She has spent the last 12 years in the Wisconsin compliance office, starting as the compliance assistant in July 1998.

    BaseballJerry DeFabbia resigned as Fairleigh Dickinson head baseball after six years there … Tim Chambers has been named head baseball coach at UNLV. Chambers takes over the Rebels after 11 seasons leading the nationally ranked College of Southern Nevada program. He has also served as athletics director there since 2003

    Women's basketballSuzy Barcomb, a 200-game winner at Puget Sound, has been named the head women's basketball coach at Cal State East Bay.

    Men's and women's golfJana Shipley, former women's golf coach at Ohio State, has been named head coach of the Ohio Wesleyan women's golf team. Shipley returns for her second stint at Ohio Wesleyan. She was head coach of the Battling Bishops' women's track and field team from 1980-85.

    Women's rowing – Syracuse women's rowing coach Kris Sanford is resigning her position to pursue a career in nursing. The 14-year head coach is a three-time Big East Conference coach of the year.
