Husson promoted Bob Reasso to director of athletics. Reasso joined the Eagles in May 2010 as the senior associate director for athletics and was previously the head men's soccer coach at Rutgers for 29 seasons. Reasso takes over for Cindy Connelley, who resigned to resume teaching full time at the university.

Other transactions

Directors of athletics – Frank Crumley was named the interim athletics director at Georgia. Crumley, the executive associate athletics director for finance, assumes the role after the resignation of former AD Damon Evans.

Coaches

Men's basketball – South Florida extended the contract of head coach Stan Heath through 2015. Heath just completed his third season with the Bulls … Chris Potash was named head coach at Penn State-Abington after serving as an assistant  coach at University of the Sciences since 2008.

Men's basketball assistants – Jay Bowen has been hired as the associate head coach at Chattanooga. Bowen spent the past two seasons as an assistant coach at UT Martin.

Women's basketball assistants – Florida Gulf Coast announced Abby Scharlow as an assistant coach. Scharlow joins the Eagles after spending the last three seasons as a recruiting coordinator at Valparaiso … Katie Galloway Burrows was named assistant coach at her alma mater Chattanooga. Burrows played for the Lady Mocs from 2000-04 and was most recently a coach and teacher at the high school level.

Men's and women's cross country and track and field – After serving as interim director of track and field and cross country at Northern Arizona since August 2009, Eric Heins was named the permanent director of the men's and women's programs there … Marc Burns was appointed head coach of the Bradley men's and women's cross country and track and field programs. Burns was previously the head coach of men's and women's cross country and an assistant for men's and women's track and field at Wichita State … Erick Camodeca was appointed head coach of the York (Pennsylvania) men's and women's cross country and track and field programs. Camodeca spent the past three seasons as men's track and field head coach.

Softball – Hardin-Simmons named former volunteer coach Dan Sheppard head coach after Rita Jordan resigned. Sheppard previously worked with the Cowgirls from 2004-06 and was head coach at Mary Hardin-Baylor … Wisconsin appointed Brent Vigness the third head softball coach in program history. Vigness spent the past 16 years as head coach of the Creighton program … Nicki Starry assumes the role of full-time softball coach at York (Pennsylvania) after serving as an interim head coach during the 2010 season.
