    Syracuse appointed Justin Moore head coach of the women's rowing program. Moore coached a dominant women's rowing team at Williams the past 11 years, earning six NCAA Division III championships, including the last five. Moore was named Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association Division III Coach of the Year the past three seasons and also coaches the U.S. Junior National Team.

    Coaches

    Baseball – Ball State promoted Alex Maconi to head coach after five seasons as an assistant coach with the program.

    Men's and women's cross country and track and field assistants – James Madison extended the contract of Bill Walton, director of track and field and cross country, through 2014. Walton has coached at James Madison for more than 30 years.

    Football assistants – Dave Kaizer, assistant coach at WPI, was promoted to full-time status after three years in a part-time role. In his new role, Kaizer will coach, assume responsibilities within the athletics department and teach classes.

    Men's and women's lacrosse – Shelley Klaes-Bawcombe, head coach of the women's lacrosse program at James Madison, agreed to a contract extension through the 2015 season. Klaes-Bawcombe has led the program at her alma mater the past four seasons.

    Men's and women's soccer – College of Charleston named Mike Barroqueiro interim head coach of the women's soccer program. Barroqueiro takes over for Kevin Dempsey, who accepted an assistant coach position with the LSU women's soccer team … James Madison extended the contract of women's soccer head coach Dave Lombardo through the 2014 season. Entering his 21st season this fall, Lombardo is the only head coach in the history of the program.

    Softball – Amy Yates, assistant coach at Limestone the past three seasons, was named head coach at Pfeiffer.

    Men's and women's tennis – Brad Gerler was hired to succeed Brian Drummond as head coach of the women's tennis program at Colorado State-Pueblo. Gerler has coached tennis at the high school level the past seven years … Evansville named Nick Mueller head coach of the women's tennis program. Mueller, an assistant coach of the women's team at Virginia Tech, replaces Christine Bader, who accepted the women's tennis head coach position at Ball State …. Andrew Harris, head coach of the men's tennis program at Lipscomb, was appointed head coach of the women's tennis program there as well. Harris is a former tennis student -athlete for the Bisons and began his coaching career with the men's team in 2006.

    Men's and women's volleyball – Albertus Magnus hired Omar Ramirez as head men's and women's coach. He has been an assistant men's coach since that program's inception two seasons ago and has been an assistant women's coach for the past three seasons. Ramirez served as an assistant men's coach at New Haven in 2008.

    Staff

    Compliance – Bowling Green appointed Jermaine Truax as director of compliance and certification. Truax joins the Falcons staff from St. Bonaventure, where he was the director of compliance.

    Conferences

    The Big South Conference announced the addition of three staff members. Sherika McLean joins the conference as a compliance/administration assistant after completing her degree and career as a student-athlete at member institution Gardner-Webb. Deandra Danch, formerly on staff at Coastal Carolina, will serve as a public relations assistant. John Brown was hired as a marketing assistant after working in the marketing department at Youngstown State the past four years … The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference appointed Dan McKane as assistant to the executive director after the resignation of Matt Ten Haken.
