North Carolina-Greensboro men's soccer coach Michael Parker, the winningest active coach in Division I men's soccer, announced his retirement Wednesday, effective June 30 of this year. Parker, who has coached for 34 seasons, has led teams to six national titles, including three at North Carolina-Greensboro. Parker's six national titles – five in Division III and one in Division II – rank him first among active men's collegiate coaches. He is second all-time to the late Bob Guelker, who won seven championships in 29 years. In 1993, Parker became the first men's soccer coach in NCAA history to lead a team to the NCAA tournament in all three divisions. He leaves with a career record of 494-191-33.

Chancellors and presidents
Dallas selected Thomas W. Keefe as the university's eighth president. Keefe is scheduled to assume the presidency March 1. With a juris doctor from the University of Kansas College of Law and bachelor of arts from Benedictine College, Keefe has spent more than 20 years in higher education, most recently serving as the vice president of advancement at Saint Louis.
Coaches
Football – Central Missouri offensive coordinator Charlie Stubbs was named head coach at Nicholls State. Stubbs has been an offensive coordinator at a host of schools over the last 14 years of his coaching career, including at Oregon State (1985-91), Memphis (1994-95), Tennessee-Martin (1995-96), UNLV (1996-97), Alabama (1997-2001), Tulsa (2002-07) and Louisville (2007) … Kentucky officially elevated Joker Phillips to head coach after head coach Rich Brooks retired Monday. Phillips, who recently finished his fifth season as the Wildcats' offensive coordinator and his seventh in charge of the wide receivers, becomes the 14th ethnic minority head coach in the Division I Football Bowl Subdivision.
Football assistants – UNLV running backs coach DeAndre Smith has taken the same position at Illinois. Smith also has been an assistant at New Mexico, Miami (Ohio), Northern Illinois and Indiana State.
Men's and women's soccer – Mike Noonan, who took Brown to 10 NCAA tournament appearances and eight Ivy League championships in 15 years, has been named head men's soccer coach at Clemson.
