Texas A&M-Kingsville named Noel Allen as coach of its new women's golf program. The Javelinas fielded a men's golf team that competed in the Lone Star Conference until 1982 but have never had a women's program until now. Allen comes to Texas A&M-Kingsville after playing four years at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee, and then serving as an assistant golf professional and personal golf coach for three years. Other transactions Faculty athletics representatives – Northern Arizona has designated educational psychology professor Tom Destefano as the athletics department's faculty athletics representative. Destefano will assume the role in June when Wayne Sjoberg retires from the position after 12 years. Destafano has taught at the university since 1991. Coaches Men's and women's soccer – Penn State-Behrend appointed Daniel Mudd as interim head coach in women's soccer … Doug Hess was hired as Drexel's head men's soccer coach after eight years as head men's coach at Campbell. Men's and women's volleyball – Lauren Sauer was named as the new women's volleyball coach at James Madison after three years as an assistant at Kentucky.
