    Ed Matz, formerly the head women's soccer coach at Northeastern, has been named to the same position at Massachusetts. Matz coached for nine seasons with the men's team at Northeastern (1996-2004) and 11 with the women's (1999-2009), compiling a combined record of 182-165-41.

    Football – Texas Lutheran chose Danny Padron as the new head football coach of the Bulldogs. Padron recently completed his eighth season as the head football coach and athletics coordinator at San Antonio's O'Connor High School … South Florida released head football coach Jim Leavitt and appointed assistant coach Carl Franks to the interim position. Franks has served as running backs coach and recruiting coordinator for the past six seasons. The other assistant coaches also have been retained. South Florida President Judy Genshaft said Leavitt was released after an internal review found "a serious violation of standards of conduct regarding the treatment of students."

    Men's and women's cross country/track and fieldD.J. Bevevino, a former Clarion All-American diver, has returned to his alma mater as the interim head women's track and field/cross country coach. Bevevino replaces Jayson Resch, who stepped down in December. A search for a full-time head coach will be conducted at the end of the season.
