Northeastern chose Tracey Leone as women's soccer coach. Leone comes to Northeastern after 19 years as both a collegiate and international coach. She played for three national championship teams at North Carolina.

Assistant athletic directors – Olivet promoted Karine Walters to assistant athletics director. Walters also has been designated as the department's senior woman administrator.
Coaches
Football assistants -- Youngstown State selected Andre Coleman as tight ends coach.
Men's and women's soccer – Lehigh hired Eric Lambinus as women's soccer coach.
Staff
Strength and conditioning coaches – Chris Stewart was promoted to head strength and conditioning coach at Olivet.
Deaths
Basketball Hall-of-Famer Dick McGuire, who played collegiately at St. John's (New York), and later went on to star for the New York Knicks, died Wednesday at the age of 84.
