South Carolina head men's tennis coach Kent DeMars will retire at the end of the 2009-10 season. In his 37th season as a collegiate head coach, DeMars will leave the South Carolina after 26 seasons at the helm of a program he has led to 18 NCAA tournaments and six conference championships.

Men's and women's golf – Colgate hired Rob Cornell as interim men's golf coach … Army named Robert Kewley as interim men's golf coach.
Men's and women's soccer – Spencer Smith was named women's soccer coach at Winthrop.
Men's and women's volleyball – Florida Southern promoted Brian Imperiale to assistant coach of the women's volleyball program.
Deaths
Former U.S. Olympic skier Jimmie Heuga, who also was an NCAA ski champion at Colorado, died Monday. He was 66.
