    Urban Meyer, head coach of the football program at Florida, announced his resignation. Meyer has led the program for the past six seasons and captured two BCS national championships during that time. Before joining the Florida staff, Meyer served as head coach at Utah for two seasons and Bowling Green for two seasons before that.

    Other transactions

    Director of athletics – Lindsay Reeves was elevated to director of athletics at North Georgia. Reeves has served as acting AD since the retirement of Randy Dunn. She previously served as the department's associate director of athletics.

    Coaches

    Field hockey – Duke named Pam Bustin head coach following the resignation of Beth Bozman. Pam Bustin has served as the head coach at Louisville since 1998.

    Football – Dave Hutchison was promoted to head coach at Glenville State. Hutchison has been on staff with the program since 2008 as the assistant head coach, offensive coordinator, and offensive line coach … Indiana hired Kevin Wilson as head coach. Wilson served as the offensive coordinator at Oklahoma the past nine seasons … Pittsburgh head coach Dave Wannstedt announced his resignation after six seasons in the position. Wannstedt will continue working in the athletics department as a special assistant to the athletics director.

    Men's and women's soccer – Connecticut College women's soccer head coach Winnie Edmed will resign, effective July 1. Edmed, who guided the program for five seasons, will continue serving as an instructor and administrator at the college … Virginia Tech promoted Charles Adair to head coach of the women's soccer program. Adair served as the program's associate head coach the past five seasons … Joe Alianiello was relieved of his duties as head coach of the women's soccer program at Concordia-St. Paul. Alianiello guided the program for five seasons.

    Men's and women's tennis – Bemidji State hired Beth Campus as head coach of the women's tennis program. Campus was a tennis student-athlete at Ball State from 2003 to 2005.

    Men's and women's tennis assistants – Lindsey Luberda was named an assistant coach with the women's tennis team at Bemidji State. Luberda was a student-athlete with the program last season.

    Deaths

    Gregory Andrew, a former John Jay men's basketball student-athlete, died December 2 at the age of 37. Andrew was a part of the Bloodhounds program from 1991 to 1995.

    Committee vacancies

    The NCAA is soliciting nominations for two January 2011 vacancies on the Division III Financial Aid Committee. One appointee must be a financial aid administrator from a public institution and one appointee must be an ethnic minority. The deadline for submitting nomination materials is January 7, 2011. Nominations must be submitted online at: https://web1.ncaa.org/committees/selection.jsp (Division III access code: committee3; Division III password: 2006; must be registered and logged into NCAA.org to view links).
