Ken Henderson, associate head baseball coach Southern Illinois, was elevated to interim head coach at for the 2011 season. Henderson, who has been on the Saluki staff for 21 years, succeeds former head coach Dan Callahan, who died in November.

Presidents and chancellors – Franklin & Marshall appointed Daniel Porterfield president. Porterfield was the senior vice president for strategic development at Georgetown … V. Lane Rawlins was named president at North Texas after serving in the position on an interim basis … Louisiana-Monroe selected Nick Bruno as president. Bruno previously served as vice president for business and finance at the University of Louisiana System … Harold Jeffcoat, president at Texas Wesleyan, was named president at Millikin … Minnesota hired Eric Kaler as president. Kaler most recently served as provost and vice president for academic affairs at Stony Brook.

Coaches

Men's and women's cross country and track and field – Flagler named Dave Williams head coach of the women's cross country program. Williams will continue serving as head coach of the men's cross country program, as well.

Field hockey – Rolf van de Kerkhof, head coach at Michigan State for the past five seasons, was hired as head coach at Delaware.

Football – Hampton extended the contract of head coach Donovan Rose. Rose has served as head coach the past two seasons and was an assistant coach with the program for 18 years.

Men's and women's lacrosse – Lisa Valentine was hired as head coach of the women's lacrosse program at St. Mary's (Maryland). Valentine most recently served as the senior assistant coach for the women's lacrosse program at Washington College.

Men's and women's soccer – Brett Kelly was promoted to head coach of the men's soccer program at Gettysburg. Kelly has been with the program in various capacities over the last 13 years, first as a student-athlete, then as a student assistant, assistant coach, and most recently as an associate coach … Greensboro hired John Trice as head coach of the men's soccer program. Trice spent the past three seasons as an assistant coach with the men's soccer program at High Point.

Men's and women's volleyball – Gettysburg elevated Leah Bernier to head coach of the women's volleyball program. Bernier served as interim head coach during the 2010 seasons following the departure of head coach Alexa Keckler.

Staff

Sports information -- Danny Kambel, former public and media relations director at Texas A&M-Commerce, was named sports information director at Wisconsin-Platteville.
