    Alabama State named Stacy Danley athletics director. Danley was a fundraising consultant for Historically Black Colleges and Universities with the J.F. Smith Group. He also served as athletics director at Tuskegee from 2008 to 2009 and spent six years in the athletics department at Auburn, his alma mater.

    Other transactions

    Assistant athletics director – Southern Mississippi named Raphael Henry assistant athletics director for sports video. Henry spent the past 10 years at Mississippi.

    Associate athletics director – Southern Mississippi promoted marketing director Kristin Rayborn to associate athletics director for communications.

    Coaches

    Baseball – Old Dominion named Nate Goulet interim head coach. Goulet, a five-year assistant for the Monarchs, replaces Jerry Meyers, who resigned to take another position … Winthrop hired former Clemson associate head coach Tom Riginos. Prior to his eight years at Clemson, Riginos spent nine years at Stetson, his alma mater.

    Men's basketball assistant – UCLA hired former Bruin Tyus Edney to be director of basketball operations. Edney spent two seasons in the NBA and played in Europe for several years.

    Men's and women's cross country – New Jersey City selected Joseph Carroll. Carroll graduated from the university in 2008.

    Field hockey – Saint Anselm hired Megan Cassarino.

    Football assistants – Grady Brown joined Southern Mississippi from LSU, where he was a strength and conditioning assistant … Antone' Sewell will be defensive coordinator for Bowie State. Sewell, a graduate of Bowie State, coached defensive backs at Prairie View A&M … Carl L. Funderburk will serve as offensive line coach, Corey G. McCloud will coach the defensive line and Dwayne Curry will coach linebackers, all at Savannah State.

    Men's and women's gymnastics – CJ Johnson retired from Illinois-Chicago's men's team after 36 years with the program.

    Men's and women's lacrosse – Saint Anselm tabbed Holly Drown for its women's program.

    Softball – Roni Rivera resigned after two seasons at Muhlenberg. She was named Centennial Conference coach of the year in 2008 … MIT hired Jennifer Williams, a former assistant at Southern New Hampshire.

    Men's and women's tennis – Saint Anselm selected Nancy Driscoll for its women's team.

    Staff

    Athletic trainer – Bowie State hired Seanta Cleveland. Cleveland was a trainer for the Team HEAL Foundation, Inc.

    Strength and conditioning – Texas A&M-Kingsville hired former Maryland assistant strength coach Marc Heinecke.

    Sports information assistant – Mount Olive tabbed Benny Benton, who spent the past six years in North Carolina State's news service office.

    Conferences

    The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference appointed Ryan Auriana to be general manager of MAAC Sports Properties … The West Coast Conference promoted Sarah Wilhelmi to assistant commissioner for compliance and student services and Stefanie Ordoveza to associate director for marketing and communications.
