    Macalester assistant track and field coach and former student-athlete Janis Rider died August 23. Rider, an assistant coach since 1999, was also a three-sport student athlete, competing in volleyball, basketball and track and field in the 1980s.

    Coaches

    Men's basketball – Saint Augustine's hired Ken Spencer as head coach after four seasons at Winston-Salem State as associate head coach.

    Women's basketball assistants – Saint Augustine's named Rachel Sloan Bullard head coach after two seasons as an assistant coach of the women's basketball program at Charleston Southern.

    Men's and women's cross country and track and field – W. Wayne Angel was named head coach of the men's cross country and track and field program at Florida A&M. Angel was most recently the head coach of the men's cross country and track and field program at Illinois from 2003 to 2009.

    Men's and women's cross country and track and field assistants – Wright State elevated interim assistant track coach Becki Ordway to permanent assistant coach.

    Men's and women's golf – Indiana State selected Greg Towne as head coach of the women's golf program. Towne replaces Mike Whitson, who became the head women's golf coach at Eastern Kentucky … Aurora hired PGA professional Aaron Sabers as head coach of the men's golf program and Justin Wyeth as head coach of the women's golf program. Wyeth was a 2006 graduate of the university and a golf student-athlete … Chadron State hired Terri Connealy as head coach of the women's golf program. Connealy replaces Scott Simons, who served as interim head coach last season … Trent Anderson returned to Bethel as head coach for the men's and women's golf programs. Anderson is a former assistant football coach at Bethel and most recently coached football at the high school level.

    Softball – Colorado State hired Jen Fisher as head coach after her three years of service in the same capacity at Metro State. Metro State promoted Vanessa Becerra to replace Fisher. Becerra spent the past three seasons as an assistant coach with the program … Massachusetts-Dartmouth selected Wheaton (Massachusetts) assistant coach Amy Sasin as head coach after the departure of Kelly Roy-Sales.

    Men's and women's swimming and diving – St. Catherine promoted Shana Erickson to head coach of the men's and women's swimming and diving program. Erickson served as an assistant coach the past five seasons.

    Men's and women's tennis – Ted Panasci was named head coach of the men's tennis program at Green Mountain. Panasci was a men's tennis student-athlete at Castleton and graduated in 2009 … Bob Hayes returned to Rockford as head coach of the men's and women's tennis program. Hayes previously coached the men's tennis program from 1991 to 1995 and the men's and women's tennis programs from 2002 to 2006.

    Staff

    Athletic training -- Brooklyn College hired Jason Fish as head athletic trainer. Fisher was previously the head athletic trainer at Lasell.
