    For the first time in more than 40 years, North Central's men's track and field program will be led by a new head coach. Al Carius, who guided the program since 1966, stepped down as head coach. Associate head coach Frank Gramarosso will assume the role. Carius will continue as head coach of the men's cross country program and will coach the distance runners during the track and field seasons. Last season, North Central became just the second NCAA Division III institution to capture the men's cross country, indoor track and field and outdoor track and field national championships in the same year.

    Other transactions

    Assistant director of athletics – Southern Methodist hired April Taylor as assistant athletics director for compliance. Taylor was previously the director of compliance at Alabama State.

    Coaches

    Women's basketball – Eastern named Nate Davis head coach following his five seasons as an assistant coach for the men's basketball program at South Carolina Aiken.

    Men's and women's cross country and track and field – William and Mary announced the resignation of Alex Gibby, head coach of the men's cross country and track programs. Gibby will assume the role of head men's cross country and distance coach at Michigan … Kathy Newberry, head women's cross country and track coach has resigned to pursue her professional running career.

    Men's and women's lacrosse assistants – Brighde Dougherty returned to her alma mater, William Smith, as an assistant coach for the women's lacrosse program. Dougherty was a head coach at Pomona-Pitzer the past two seasons and competed in lacrosse and tennis as a student-athlete at William Smith.

    Men's and women's soccer – Missouri Southern State named Dwight Burgess head women's soccer coach. Burgess was the head coach of the men's and women's soccer programs at Capital the past ten seasons.

    Softball – Amber Maisonet was appointed interim head coach at Rensselaer following the resignation of head coach Erika Lewis. Maisonet joined the Engineers staff as an assistant coach in 2009.

    Men's and women's tennis – Southern Mississippi announced the resignation of head men's tennis coach Teddy Viator. Viator led the Golden Eagles for 23 seasons and also coached the women's program from 1998 to 1997.

    Staff

    Compliance – Ryan McCabe was promoted to athletics coordinator for compliance and life skills at Southern Methodist after serving as a compliance intern the past two years.
