    Ferris State hired Perk Weisenburger as athletics director to replace Tom Kirinovic, who retired after 27 years in the athletics department.  Weisenburger was most recently the associate athletics director for external operations at UNLV.

    Coaches

    Baseball assistants – Winthrop selected Clint Chrysler as an assistant coach after two seasons at his alma mater Stetson.

    Women's basketball – Denver extended the contract of head coach Erik Johnson through the 2014-15 season. Johnson is entering his third season as head coach of the program.

    Men's and women's cross country and track and field – Ross Richardson was named an assistant coach for the Miami (Ohio) women's track and field program. Richardson was the men's and women's throwing coach the past five years at Purdue.

    Men's and women's golf – Marian (Wisconsin) selected current women's basketball head coach Bill Peters as head coach of the men's and women's golf program. Peters is entering his first season of competition for both programs after joining the staff in March.

    Softball – Michelle Carlson was hired as an assistant coach and director of the Terry Softball Complex at Winthrop. Carlson previously worked at the high school level … Marian (Wisconsin) elevated Tony Draves to interim head coach of the softball program. Draves was an assistant coach the past eight seasons.

    Men's and women's tennis – Drake selected Paul Thomson as head coach of the women's tennis program. Thomson was head coach of the men's and women's tennis programs at Brevard the past five seasons.

    Staff

    Athletic training – Charlie Hart and Danielle Ribbons were selected as assistant athletic trainers at Winthrop. Hart spent the last two seasons as an athletic trainer at Ohio. Ribbons was a trainer at the high school and community college level.

    Ticket office – Winthrop hired Larry McLaine as athletics ticket manager. McLaine has served in a similar capacity at Iowa State and Southern California.

    Conferences

    The Atlantic 10 Conference promoted Megan Kahn to associate commissioner for administration and operations.  Kahn joined the league in 2008 and will oversee the office of advance media and technology while continuing her work as the director of the A-10 Men's Basketball Championships … The Summit League hired Matthew Boyer as assistant director of compliance and administration.  Boyer recently served as in intern in the Valparaiso and Illinois State compliance offices while completing his law degree.
