    Massachusetts named Sharon Dawley head women's basketball coach. Dawley coached for seven seasons at Vermont, leading the Catamounts to America East tiles the last two years. Before her stint with Vermont, she spent 10 years on the women's basketball staff at Dartmouth and was head coach at Tufts for nine seasons.

    Other transactions

    Presidents and chancellors – Ohio Dominican selected Marywood Provost and Vice President Peter Cimbolic to be its new president … George Mason Vice President for Administration Lawrence D. Czarda was named president at Greensboro … Merrimack tabbed Christopher Hopey, vice president and dean of Northeastern University's College of Professional Studies.

    Associate athletics directors – Delaware hired Mark Urick to be associate athletics director for annual giving for intercollegiate athletics. He has worked in development at Arizona State, Boise State and Nevada … Kent State named Thomas Kleinlein executive associate athletics director. Kleinlein, who spent the past five years at Arizona State, will concentrate on fundraising, marketing and ticket sales for the Golden Flash football program.

    Coaches

    Men's basketball – Chris Mooney signed a contract extension at Richmond that will keep him with the school through the 2016-17 season … Boston College tabbed Steve Donahue, coach at Cornell.

    Women's basketball – Indiana State hired former Georgia Tech associate coach Teri Moren. Moren was head coach at Indianapolis for seven seasons. She replaces Jim Wiedie, who resigned earlier this year.

    Football assistants – Cal Poly selected Josh Brown to coach inside linebackers and Steve Cox to coach outside linebackers and nickel backs. Brown spent the last season at Kansas while Cox coached wide receivers at Weber State for the last two years.
