    Georgia State named Sharon Baldwin-Tener women's basketball coach. Baldwin-Tener spent the past eight seasons as head coach at East Carolina, where her 126 wins are a school record. She also coached at Mercer and was an assistant at Georgia.

    Other transactions

    Presidents and chancellors – B. James Dawson was promoted to the presidency at Lincoln Memorial. He had been chief operating officer and chancellor of the university's main campus.

    Coaches

    Men's basketball – St. Michael's selected Michael Harding, former associate head coach at Stonehill … Hartford hired former Hawks associate head coach John Gallagher. Gallagher spent the past two seasons at Penn … North Carolina-Wilmington tabbed Buzz Peterson, who previously ran programs at Appalachian State, Tulsa, Tennessee and Coastal Carolina … Holy Cross selected Milan Brown, who spent the past seven seasons as head coach at Mount St. Mary's.

    Women's basketball – Wooster promoted assistant Ashley Reid, who was an assistant at Walsh for two seasons before joining the Scots in 2006.

    Men's and women's golf – Wooster selected former head women's basketball coach Lisa Campanell Komara to lead the school's new women's golf program. Campanell Komara spent the last 13 seasons leading the Scots' on the basketball court.

    Men's and women's ice hockey – Rensselaer extended the contract of women's coach John Burke through the 2013-14 season.

    Men's and women's lacrosse – Saint Rose selected Liam Gleason for its new men's program. Gleason was an assistant at Siena … Northwestern signed Kelly Amonte Hiller to a five-year contract extension, keeping her at the school through 2015. Amonte Hiller led the Wildcats to five consecutive NCAA women's titles.

    Men's and women's soccer – Saint Joseph's hired alumnus Don D'Ambra for its men's program.

    Men's and women's swimming – Wyoming extended Tom Johnson's contract through March 31, 2012.

    Wrestling – Wyoming extended Mark Branch's contract through March 31, 2013.

    Staff

    Athletic trainers – Felician promoted Nayoa Sato to head athletic trainer and added Brian Vogler as assistant athletic trainer.

    Sports information – UNC Asheville hired Matt Pellegrin as the school's director of athletics media communications.
