Central Connecticut State named Paul Schlickmann director of athletics. Schlickmann, 44, comes to New Britain from Stony Brook, where he was the executive associate director of athletics.  He will be charged with running the Blue Devils' 18-sport Division I program.

Men's basketball assistants -- Joe Jones, the head coach of the Columbia men's basketball program for the last seven years, has resigned to accept the position of associate head coach at Boston College … St. John's (New York) hired Tony Chiles as an assistant coach.

Football assistants – Muhlenberg hired Trey Brown as quarterbacks coach, wide receivers coach and special teams coordinator.

Men's and women's soccer – Ashley Bingaman was named women's soccer coach at Elmira.
