    UC Santa Cruz pair takes doubles title

    After three years of getting bounced from the NCAA tournament early, Washington U. in St. Louis senior John Watts finally had his happy ending Saturday, beating Emory's Chris Goodwin, 6-1, 6-2, to win the Division III men's tennis singles title.

    UC Santa Cruz doubles partners Marc Vartabedian and Bryan Pybas earned the doubles crown with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Bobby Cocanaugher and Cory Kowal from Trinity (Texas). [More]

    Earlier in the week, Middlebury downed Amherst, 5-1, to take the Division III Men's Tennis Championship team title. [More]
