Correction: Maya Moore's GPA was incorrectly described in an earlier version of this story.

CoSIDA named Connecticut's Maya Moore, Wisconsin-Stout's Julia Hirssig, Kansas' Cole Aldrich and Thomas More's Daniel McKeehan as ESPN the Magazine Academic All-Americans of the Year for women's and men's basketball, respectively.

Moore, a junior forward for the top-ranked Connecticut Huskies, is a first-team Academic All-America pick for the second straight year. An individualized major with a 3.70 grade-point average, she is the second leading scorer in the Big East. At 27-0, the Huskies are aiming for their second straight NCAA national championship this year. They've won 66 consecutive games and are just four from tying their own all-time mark.

Hirssig, who also earned Academic All-America recognition for the second year in a row, is a three-year starter at Wisconsin-Stout and owns the school scoring record with 1,686 points. The hotel, restaurant and tourism management major is a senior and maintains a 3.96 GPA.

A junior center for Kansas, Aldrich is a communications studies major with a 3.32 GPA. One of three players in the Big 12 averaging double figures in scoring and rebounding, Aldrich was a co-Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year last season. He is a two-year starter for the Jayhawks and was a reserve on the 2008 national championship team.

An economics major with a minor in business finance, McKeehan has posted a 4.0 GPA while guiding Thomas More to a share of the Presidents' Athletic Conference regular-season title. The senior guard has started 23 of the Saints' 25 games and leads the team in scoring (15.7), field-goal percentage (.627), steals (55) and assists (55).
