Kutztown men’s soccer coach Otto Ormosi announced his resignation. He had been the school’s head coach since 1998, and his 71 career wins were the second-most in school history.

Other transactions

Football assistants – Texas A&M-Commerce has hired five new assistant football coaches: Jack Peavey (assistant head coach/offensive line coach), Dan Lounsbury (offensive coordinator), Pierre Ingram (wide receivers coach), Nick Myatt (running backs coach) and Brian Williams (defensive coordinator) … Washington named Jimmie Dougherty as its wide receivers coach… Presbyterian hired Tom Evangelista as its defensive coordinator and Jeff Wilson as its defensive assistant coach.

Men’s and women’s golf –IPFW announced the resignation of men’s golf coach David Fern.

Men’s and women’s volleyballChad Esposito has resigned as the women’s volleyball coach at High Point.

Open dates

Shippensburg’s women’s basketball team is seeking participants for its 2009-10 opening tournament on Friday November 20, and Saturday, November 21. The tournament includes a $500 cash guarantee.  Interested parties should contact assistant coach Jen Scaffidi (jlscaffidi@ship.edu or 717/477-1543).
