Louisiana Tech named Teresa Weatherspoon interim women’s basketball coach. Weatherspoon was a standout player for the Lady Techsters from 1984-88. She was a two-time Kodak all-American (1987 and 1988) and won the Wade Trophy as the national college player of the year. Weatherspoon replaces Chris Long, who was relieved of his head coaching duties.

Athletics directors – Winston-Salem State released Percy Caldwell.

Men’s basketball – Tennessee State dismissed basketball coach Cy Alexander. Assistant Mark Pittman will serve as interim head coach.

Football assistants – Boston College hired Dave Brock as tight ends coach and Sean Devine offensive line coach. … Cincinnati announced defensive coordinator Joe Tresey will not return next season. … Florida Atlantic promoted Darryl Jackson to offensive coordinator and named Jeff Brohm assistant football coach. … Louisville announced the resignation of offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Jeff Brohm and named Jeff Lewis wide receivers coach and Matt Wells quarterbacks coach and passing coordinator. … Marshall hired Bob Fello as defensive line coach. … Middle Tennessee named Steve Ellis cornerbacks coach and special teams coordinator. … Utah named Blake Miller offensive line coach. … Washington announced the resignation of offensive coordinator Jim Michalczik to take a coaching position with Oakland Raiders.

Men’s and women’s soccer – Messiah named Brad McCarty men’s soccer coach.

Men’s and women’s volleyball – Tony Graystone has been named the women’s volleyball coach at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.

Men’s and women’s volleyball assistants – Ben Bodipo-Memba has been named an assistant coach of the U Irvine women’s volleyball program.
