Eric Peterson has been named director of Tulane’s cross country and track and field programs. He has been at UCLA for 16 years, serving 15 of those years as head women’s cross country coach and adding head coaching duties for the men nine years ago. He also coached the Bruins’ track distance squads. Peterson is a former Oregon distance runner.

Faculty athletics representativeMila Su appointed at Plattsburgh State, where she is associate librarian at Feinberg Library.

Coaches

Men’s basketball assistantsDean Edwards and Zach Zoia hired at Trinity (Connecticut) … Jeremy Zalacca joined the staff at Hilbert.

Golf Carrie Sordel named assistant women’s coach at Kent State. The former Florida State golfer previously was on the staff at UCF.

TennisBrenda Niemeyer named head women’s coach at St. Edward’s.

NCAA national office

Michael Miranda named associate director of research for academic policy and administration. Miranda, former chair of the Division III Management Council and NCAA Research Committee, has been a librarian for the past 25 years at Plattsburgh State, where he served as faculty athletics representative.
